City Fair Slated For October 5

Q: What's free, fun and family oriented?

A: City Fair II, Saturday, October 5, 1996!

For a day-long celebration of free family fun, mark your calendars now for City Fair II, Saturday, October 5, 1966, 10am to 4pm. The expo, to be held at Fountain Valley Bodyworks (Slater Avenue and Newhope Street), will enable City residents to enjoy a cross-section of community activities, from vendor merchandise to public agency exhibits.

City Fair II is a community-wide showcase of the very best Fountain Valley has to offer in business, local government and service clubs. This year's format will duplicate last fall's successful fair, with hourly door prizes, freebies for the kids, live entertainment, free Kidcare photo IDs, a plethora of food choices, and more than 100 vendor booths featuring merchandise at specially-discounted City Fair prices. To accommodate the large number of vendors and residents expected, Mt. Cliffwood and a portion of Slater Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic during fair hours. Many performers from City recreation courses will showcase their talents. City Fair II also welcomes auditions from any local group. Last year, City Fair's business participants enjoyed expanded business, and now dozens of other local vendors indicate they would also like to participate in the '96 fair.
